【英文标题】Analysis on Problems, Corresponding Causes and Solutions of Information Literacy Education in China:Based on the Comparison of Information Literacy Curriculum Standards in China and the United States
By comparing the high school curriculum standards of information technology in China with Wisconsin's Model Academic Standards for Information and Technology Literacy of the United States of America, the study shows that, the Chinese standards, though with prompting the improvement of students information literacy competency as its objective, overemphasizes on information technology while lacks a comprehensive and adequate analysis on information literacy. This paper further recommends three measures to change this situation: strengthening cooperation and establishing curriculum standards and evaluation criteria based on a comprehensive information literacy concept; implementing a universal information literacy education for university students, especially for normal school students; researching and developing a national online information literacy education and evaluation system.
