The Present and The Prospect: Researches of Oversea Huayu Teaching
Abstract: Oversea Huayu(Chinese) teaching is not equal to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and also different with the Chinese education as a mother tongue. The researches of oversea Huayu teaching experiences several phases and each phase has its own characteristics. In the early time, researches of oversea Huayu teaching were almost the same as researching about teaching Chinese as a mother tongue. The research content was single and the researchers mainly came from the experts of language working overseas. With the changes happening to the oversea Chinese society, new situations appear in language problems. As a result, the ranges and fields of this research have been expanded. Since the opening of China, the research of oversea Huayu teaching has greatly developed in both the contents and the researcher’s team. However it still cannot satisfy the growing demands.
