有史以来最佳小说100种
武夷山
    List Muse是一个专门提供图书、电影、音乐等各类文化佳作榜单的网站。前天我介绍了该网站“有史以来最佳科学图书100种”榜单,受到欢迎。今天再介绍一下该网站的另一个榜单----“有史以来最佳小说100种”,原文见http://www.listmuse.com/best-books-top-100-fiction.php。 他们的评选规则是:同一作者只选一部作品。
    与“有史以来最佳科学图书100种”不同的是,这里有两部中国小说上榜,分别是《红高粱》和《红楼梦》----“双红”啊。
当我整理“有史以来最佳科学图书100种”时,我想:中国出版社的口味还不错,毕竟将榜上的不少图书译为中文了。面对现在这个榜,则不仅感慨:相对于文学翻译,我国的科学著作翻译还是偏弱。到9月78晚14点为止,百种科学著作中查得有中译本的为59种,即59%;而百种小说扣除掉中国的两部后,余下98种中已查得71种有中译本,占72.4%!而且,也许还有一些中译本尚未查证出来。当然,文学翻译对国外作品的覆盖面较全是可以理解的,因为文学作品比科学著作好卖。
有些名著是百分之百有中译本的,于是我就不再注明是哪个出版社的译本。
榜单如下:
