管轶博士,汕头大学医学院/香港大学医学院联合流感中心主任,国家新发传染病重点实验室主任,WHO流感专家组成员。长期从事流感病毒分子流行病学研究、SARS病毒分子流行病学研究。曾在国际上首先发现并证实果子狸携带SARS病毒,首先证实SARS冠状病毒为“非典型肺炎”病原体,首先阐明近五年内高致病性禽流感病毒H5N1的变异规律,研究成果先后发表在《Nature》、《Science》、《Lancet》等国际顶级学术期刊上(均作为通讯作者)。现主持WHO和NIH项目“全球大流感的预备”等多项流感、SARS相关国际性重大课题。
